So with their wedding venue now confirmed, we all set about to creating a most magnificent event for their celebrations, for both themselves and their wonderful family & friends to enjoy throughout their "Wedding Weekend". From Friday's divine day of matrimony & celebrations, through to Saturday's evening of a relaxed BBQ and country hoe-down, Matt & Monica embraced their extended time to enjoy mingling further with their guests, reflecting upon their marvelous occasion and soaking up the joy of being altogether.
It was such a pleasure to work alongside Matt & Monica, along with their chosen service providers, to ensure their celebrations went off "without a hitch" and with as much ease and serenity as possible.
Thank you Matt & Monica for choosing to celebrate with us here at Ringers Rest Wedding & Functions Venue. It was a privilege to share in your wedding weekend. We wish you much happiness in all that life has to offer.

Matt & Monica's Wedding Weekend Reflections...
Monica - Looking up and seeing Matt as I started walking down the aisle.
Once I saw him all my nerves disappeared and I couldn't wait to get up there and be with him!
Matt - Reading my vows to Monica.
What was the inspiration of the colours / style / theme for your wedding?
My favourite colour is pink and the bridesmaids dresses ended up being blue and the two tied in perfectly so I went with them. Throw in a bit of hessian to match the venue and it tied in perfectly!
I wanted the whole day to be nice and relaxed and fun so I went with simple things, flowers,
decorations, dresses (except mine haha!). I also wanted it to be different to everyone else's and
nice and bright and vibrant!
Your advice to those planning a wedding now?
Honestly, take a step back and take it all in. Don't stress because at the end of the aisle the only thing you notice is the man (or woman) standing across from you. Neither of us can remember what
anything looked like because we were so nervous and
focused on each other we didn't get time to pay attention to anything else.
Tell us about your decision to have your wedding at Ringers Rest?
Ringers Rest was actually the first venue I looked at but Matt at the time told me "it was too country".
11 months, 2 horses and a love for Garth Brooks later we had to have a venue change and
Ringers Rest was my first option.
Matt agreed to look at it with me and as soon as we drove in I leaned over to him and said
"this feels like home".
I'm from Hughenden, a small country town and the surrounding bush is exactly like out there
so for me it was perfect. Matt being Matt wouldn't say no to me and the decision
was made then and there. Tammy & Dave cemented the decision for us,
their assistance, hospitality and laid back country attitude was icing on the cake.
What was “the best decision you made” with regards to your wedding day?
All our suppliers. Tammy (functions coordinator), Benn (photographer),
Nicole at Mareeba Roses, Cheryl at the Jackaroo, the size of the wedding.
We had a small wedding with just family and close friends and it was perfect.
Everything ran smoothly for us, there were no hiccups and everyone had a good time.
We could not have asked for more.

I also wanted to say, on behalf of Matt, myself and all our guests,
a massive, massive thank you for everything.
We had the time of our lives, the venue looked amazing and you made everything so easy for us.
We could not have asked for a better place to celebrate our wedding.
It was more than we ever imagined and we are so thankful
to you Tammy, your dad and all your family for everything!
I honestly can't sing enough praise for it all!!
Thank you so much!
