Country at heart and having grown up in the area, is what brought Kent & Shannon back to the Tablelands and happily choosing Ringers Rest Functions Venue as the setting for their marriage and celebration with family and friends.
Shannon made her exquisite arrival, alongside her father Peter, upon our horse & sulky, lead by Dave. Guests admired them trotting up through the bush and around to the ceremony where Shannon was escorted to Kent by both her mother and father. Kookaburras chorused as they stepped up on the "Hitchin' Rail" to officially mark their union as husband and wife.
Kent & Shannon's theme was 'rustic' and very much about creating all possible elements themselves. Also enlisting the help of family and friends, they created a beautiful setting together. Hessian, lace and timber, with an array of florals from natives to roses, adorned the reception area. Quintessential items from days gone by (like the old milk vat) were used as well.
Throughout the evening, the formalities and frivolity were interspersed with the talented singing of family guests, that was a privilege to listen to. The following morning friends and family pitched in to cook up a feast for breakfast, providing another opportunity to sit, relax and reminisce altogether.
We here at Ringers Rest are so fortunate to be a part such joyous occasions. To support Kent & Shannon with their journey to the day, to share in the celebration and to witness two families and friends alike celebrating the commitment and love that Kent & Shannon share, is definitely an honour.
Thank you Kent & Shannon for choosing to celebrate with us!
Warmest regards,
The Ringers Rest Team - RRx
